If you like things that are bigger such as a big flatscreen TV, then you’re most likely going to want a laptop with a bigger screen. If you are someone that likes things to be more small, compact, and portable then you’re probably going to want a smaller screen. If you are unsure which option to pick then you are going to want to go visit a store such as Best Buy carries HP laptops and look at the widescreen HP laptops they have available. This should give you an idea of what the different sizes look like. There is actually a pretty big difference between a 15 inch laptop and a 17 inch laptop. The size of the screen is not the only difference.
Since most laptops are widescreen that is most of the ones you should be comparing are going to have a widescreen. If you haven’t noticed already this larger screen size is going to cost you more money. There can be a pretty large price difference between a regular size screen laptop and a Large size screen laptop. I know for the laptop I purchased a paid an extra $600 to get the larger size screen. This will save you a great deal on your pocketbook and will free up money to buy other things such as accessories for your laptop.
Another thing to consider when looking at widescreen HP laptops is that larger screens usually require more battery power to operate them. You can see as much as the two or three hour difference in the battery time available on the different size screens. So if you want something that is more portable and you plan using it in locations where you cannot plug in then you’ll want to choose a smaller size laptop.
